although i must say watching the hummers stuck is awesome…i always preferred the jeep…but you must take into consideration that anyone with half a brain in their head isn’t going to take a $50,000 vehicle in the woods to beat the shit out of and anyone that does is very inexperienced offroading..therefore hes prolly gonna get stuck, the jeep guys have it made in my opinion. freedom and capability, not held down by a pretty paintjob or beautiful rims:) only in a jeep O||||||O
Gotta love Jeeps! Sweet vid! It’s a damn shame gm killed hummer. I loved the am general hummers, you know, the real hummers. Now they’re their just bling rides. Go Jeep!

their are different kinds of intelligence, and the kind that buys a h2 for wheelin……well…..
has anyone ever seen an h2 built for any kind of offroad competition. or modified beyond a couple inches of lift or light covers and grille guards…
Actually the base model Jeep had a 4.0L inline 6 one of the most reliable engines out there. My 97 year Grand Cherokee had the option for a 4.7LV8, 5.2L V8, and the 5.9L V8. All the Jeep needs to push it is a 4.0L, says something about size and unnecessary weight of hummers
Hi guys, im from Poland and i find it fascinating how you say 4liters V8 engine is “allright”to move Jeep.
My ubcle has a Cherokee with 2.5 diesel and its still pretty good (well, at least in central Europe)
Ahh you did a good job correcting me, that was 8 some months ago when I was a Jeep noobie. Now I’ve got it down. In fact I love Jeeps so much I’ve bought a second one. I bought a Cherokee Sport (which had the option for a 2.5 and a 4.0 in 98) Getting the 4 banger (2.5) would be regrettable, I love the 4.0, my Cherokee is light enough that I can take it through trails and at the end of the day hop on the highway and have more than enough power to overtake and merge etc
@92XJlaredo i dunno about that. you can take it with a grain of salt and say that people who can afford hummers can also afford to scratch them up. and if you’re spending 50k on a vehicle, you don’t want it to be limited to just pavement. but i hate hummer and i’m glad that theyre out of production. proud jeep owner

Hummers do not have a 2WD mode. Just thought you might want to know.
Nice video! Hate to see the Hummers banged up, but nice vid all the same!

So I guess hummer owners don’t know when to go into 4WD?

The 4.7L V8 didnt come in Grand Cherokees until 1999… 1997 your options were the 4.0L I6 or 5.2L V8, and only for 1998 was the 5.9L V8.
