I’m putting 35×12.50 mud tires on my 2002 wrangler. Does it need to be regeared to push the larger tires? The jeep is a 5 speed with a 4.0L inline 6 motor.

Tires only have about 2000 miles on them, new gauges, accessories like bug deflector, rock guards, the frame is in decent shape not really rusted that much.

What is the largest size tire you can put on a jeep wrangler tj without a lift? I have 30×9.5 tires on my jeep wrangler right now and they are almost brand new. Is there a place I can trade my tires for bigger ones?

I see hardcore offroad Jeeps (big lift, big tires, etc.) that have automatin transmissions, but all I here from my friends is that a manual transmission is way better. Can someone please help me or give me some insight on the pros and cons of these two transmissions for the Jeep Wrangler.
